Reaction Rush Guide: How to Build Longer Combos

4 min read

Reaction Rush is simple to understand and hard to master — the entire game is a 60-second combo chain. Here's how the system works and how to extend your streak.

How combos work

Every correct tap on an active target increases your combo counter, which multiplies your score. A miss — tapping a decoy, tapping early, or letting a target expire — resets your combo to zero.

Wait for the reveal, not the shape

Targets look identical while "arming" — decoys only reveal themselves the moment they'd otherwise become tappable. Don't try to guess early; train yourself to react to the color change, not the position.

Keep a steady rhythm

Tensing up after a near-miss usually causes the next miss too. Treat each target independently — a clean reset mentally after every tap keeps your reaction time consistent.

Prioritize accuracy early, speed later

Early in a run, protecting your combo matters more than shaving milliseconds. Once your combo multiplier is high, the value of each additional correct tap goes up — that's when speed starts to matter more than caution.
