Every rule is here: castling both sides, en passant, underpromotion, and server-verified check and checkmate detection — no client can fake a legal move. How to play
- 1 Move any piece by its chess rules — pawns, knights, bishops, rooks, queen, and king.
- 2 Castle by moving the king two squares toward a rook that hasn't moved, with no pieces or checks in between.
- 3 Capture en passant when an opponent pawn advances two squares beside yours.
- 4 Reaching the far rank promotes a pawn — queen is default, but any piece is legal.
- 5 Checkmate the opponent king to win, or offer a draw if the position has dried up.
