What is the Prism Collection?
The Prism Collection is a series of transparent accessories for PS5. It was announced on the PlayStation Blog by Isabelle Tomatis, Vice President of Global Marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment. The lineup includes see-through versions of the DualSense wireless controller and the PS5 console covers. Sony's Color, Material, and Finish design team says it wanted to bring back the transparent controller trend of the late '90s in a way that fits the PS5's industrial design.
The glossy clear finish extends across the back of the controller, so you can see the DualSense's internals. The middle cover uses a metallic finish that ties the contrasting surfaces together.
What colors are available?
The collection comes in three colors. Flare Orange is a vibrant orange that takes on a slight rosy tint where the transparent material overlaps. Emerald Green is a deep green that gains depth through its transparency. Graphite Gray is a cool-toned gray. All three have a glossy finish.
